APM Season 2 with $40,000 purse

TakeTV has announced all the details about the second season of Acer Predator Masters powered by Intel, featuring a prize pool of $40,000.

Less than two months after the end of the inaugural Acer Predator Masters season, which saw HellRaisers scoop the first prize of $20,000, TakeTV and Intel have joined forces for a new edition, which will give away $40,000 in cash and over $5,000 worth of hardware prizes.

A total of 16 teams will be battling it out this season, which kicks off on October 5. The top eight sides from the previous season will be joined by eight invited teams in the league, which will see the participants split into two groups in the online stage.

HellRaisers won the first edition of APM powered by Intel

The top four sides of the best-of-two round-robin group stage will automatically qualify for the offline finals, inside TaKeTV's studios in Krefeld, Germany, from January 7-10. The event will use a best-of-three, double-elimination bracket, with the grand final being played in a best-of-five format.
